A winner of the 2021 Concordia USRA award, Mr. Owen Hellum will conduct his research project on virtual-reality in surgery during this summer at Health-X.

We are looking for undergraduate researchers this summer!

Health-X is actively looking for undergraduate trainees to participate in exciting research projects in medical imaging and surgical science in Summer 2021!

Potential students will be sponsored by Health-X for the Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA) program for 16 weeks of research experience, and will be compensated for $6K~7.5K for their research work. They will also have the opportunity to publish their work in peer-reviewed journals and attend international conferences.

The candidates should have experience in programming (C++, C# or Python), are in good academic standing in their program (a CGPA of 3.3 or higher), have completed at least 30 credits in the program, and will return to their academic program after the summer.  If you are interested, please forward your CV and transcript to yiming.xiaoATconcordia.ca.

Currently, we are looking for interested students for two projects: 

1. Software interface design and implementation for deep learning-based automatic MRI segmentation 
2.  Application of mixed/virtual reality in facilitating neurosurgical training

Health-X Lab is officially in operation!

We are currently looking for motivated graduate and undergraduate students to join the lab!

For potential trainees, there are a wide range of exciting projects available, including computational neuroimaging, intuitive surgical navigation, and medical AI. At the lab, you will be exposed to advanced medical imaging technology, machine/deep learning methods, augmented/virtual reality, and close collaboration with practicing clinicians.

Montreal is an exciting and highly diverse metropolitan city, with affordable living for students, and has one of the most active AI and medical research communities in the world.

Concordia University has been ranked as the best university under 50 years in Canada, and the affiliated PERFORM Centre is equipped with the latest imaging and research facility for the investigation of new healthcare technology.
